Last night we slept on the ice, most slept outside but we had tents if it became unbearable. We were sharing the beach with a Gentoo Penguin Rookery and some Weddell Seals. Once most people had gone to sleep, you could hear the penguins jump along the rocks, and the glaciers cracking under their own stress.
I am about to run out of battery and internet but I hope this picture will give you some idea of the wonder we felt last night.
